70.Trade Justice Scotland highlighted the role of Canadian provincial governments in developing Canada`s mandate for the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), as an example of a potential model for subnational participation in trade policy, given that “the negotiating mandate was developed with input from provincial governments […]”. 85 On 18 December 2019, the Committee published its report on the United Kingdom`s post-Brexit international agreements: a role for the Assembly. The report proposes a sketched approach to Senedd`s cooperation with and consideration of important future UK international agreements.
